Among life’s many imponderables, is the enduring mystery of the missing sock. We’ve all been there – loading the laundry, emptying the hamper, checking to make sure that you have not forgotten anything. BAM! Close the washing machine door, turn it on and whoosh! During a recent visit to my psychiatrist (or rather his assistant – huh!) I was told that it might be helpful if I wrote down the things that trigger my anxiety and stress – thereby confronting and ultimately overcoming them. A few weeks ago, while helping my eldest daughter with her ancestor project, I re-discovered an old photo album.  The album had belonged to my mom, and contained photos of my parents and paternal grandparents during the late 1960’s and early 70’s.
